En 1987, une jeune société française, Micromega provoque un véritable bouleversement en concevant le CDF1. Cette platine CD dotée d’un design avant-gardiste et d’une grande musicalité ouvrait de nouvelles perspectives dans la restitution numérique du son et reçut à l’époque le plébiscite de la presse et du public. En 1989, Micromega conçut le système Trio, représentant l’aboutissement de ses recherches en matière de traitement numérique du signal et de conversion numérique-analogique. Trio fit entrer la société dans le cercle très fermé des fabricants de haut de gamme mondialement réputés.
Les années 90 furent marquées par une croissance rapide de la jeune société dont les produits 100% conçus et made in France connaissent un grand succès auprès de la presse spécialisée et du public.
En 2007, la marque MICROMEGA est relancée avec des ambitions nouvelles : redonner à cette marque ses lettres de noblesse. La stratégie du groupe devient simple : reconquérir le monde de la haute-fidélité en apportant rigueur et logique industrielle grâce à une équipe d’ingénieurs capables de concevoir, créer et produire des produits aux composants et au design irréprochables en France dans son usine située à Boissy-Saint-Léger.
Pari réussi puisque la marque collectionne les succès en France et à l’étranger, sans tapage marketing, grâce à des produits novateurs dans toutes les gammes de budget. Le M1, dont la sortie est prévue à l’automne 2015, s’annonce comme une nouvelle réussite de la marque.
